Show Notes

While at the Missouri Meet-up, Lois and Emily had the privilege of interviewing April Deerey, live and in-person!

Her story of having an abusive Father is one that is all too familiar; she shares her story of escaping her abusive father with her mom.

And then she talks about her how she found out she would never be able to carry children because of a rare health diagnosis. She sheds light on how the church environment made her feel less than because she couldn't have any children.

Her story is also one of redemption as we see her husband, James, love her so well.

There is so much to learn from April's story to help us all recognize and overcome some stigmas or presuppositions that we may have.

Overall, this story is about worth and acceptance for exactly who you are and we end the episode with a story of how her husband, James, has demonstrated this so beautifully. Hope it is a blessing to you!
